The third section of China Pavilion at Shanghai World Expo: focusing on “low-carbon initiatives” is designed and constructed by Gush Multimedia. By focusing on Chinese future city development with low carbon as core element and showing how Chinese cope with future urbanization challenge relying on “modern pursuit of learning from nature”, “Chinese answers” are given for global sustainable development. 
The exhibition hall “blooming city” in 33m high on the lower floor with area of about 3,400m2 is endowed with function of “future imagination”. The environmental design on this floor is rather exquisite with streamline exhibition hall in white tone, shadow outline and simple, extending and elegant style. It communicates people’s vision of the future. Here, people can give free rein to their imagination, take part in the interesting interactive activities and visualize the future city life together. The exhibition hall on the lower floor shows how Chinese cope with future urbanization challenge relying on life wisdom and gives a “Chinese answer” to global sustainable development. Chinese element doesn’t mean traditional element, combination of tradition and modern of China Changan as well as the integration of oriental restraint and western individuality on the lower floor provide opportunities for visitors to give free rein to future city and seek for the future of Chinese city. At the end of “low-carbon” exhibition area of China Pavilion, lotus and water screen create touching landscape of “fountain of illumination”, covering an area of 250m2 with such Chinese idioms as “syncretism between heaven and man”, “learning from nature” and “harmony in diversity” are displayed on the water screen.
