Museum of the War of People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression (Beijing)

Project Introduction

Basic exhibition of Museum currently is “Great Victory—Large-scale Theme Exhibition for Commemorating Victory of the War of People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-fascist War”. The exhibition is formed by improving the “Great Victory—Large-scale Theme Exhibition for Commemorating 60th Anniversary of Victory of the War of People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-fascist War”. The exhibition is co-hosted by the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, the Publicity Department of the CPC, the United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee, CCCPC Party Literature Research Office, Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture of the PRC, the General Political Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPC and is undertaken by the Museum of the War of People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Themed as “Great Victory”, the exhibition represents 14 years of bloody struggles against the aggression. It is divided into eight parts, including: Part I: National Crisis, National Salvation Rising; Part II: KMT-CPC Cooperation, Calling for United Efforts to Save the Nation; Part III: Beacon for the War of Resistance against Aggression, a Tower of Strength”; Part IV: Savage Act of Japanese Troops, Extremely Brutal; Part V: Shedding Blood in the Battlefield, the Nation Rises; Part VI: A just cause gains great support, the international support comes; Part VII: Historical Victory, Great Contributions; Part VIII: Take history as a mirror and face the future. 


o receive the 65th Anniversary Celebration of the War of People’s Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the Museum updated the overall original exhibition and reopened to the public on August, 15. The original exhibition contents are basically remained and the original main structure is also unchanged. 54 pieces (sets) of cultural relics are newly added. Meanwhile, more international languages are applied in the exhibition.
