Shanghai Film Museum is located in the 1st to the 4th floor of the Building of Shanghai Film Group (No. 595, North Caoxi Road, Xuhui District). With a total area of 15,000m2, the Museum is an industry museum integrating exhibition and activity and visit and experience, covering such functions as collection of cultural relics, academic research, social education as well as display and exhibition. Exhibition in the Museum is divided into four theme exhibition zones, five photo studios and one art movie hall. The Museum showcases the centennial charm and appeal of Shanghai films and vividly illustrates the stories behind filmmakers, filmmaking and films themselves, thus being one of the most important window for demonstrating films of Shanghai or even of China. The Museum is expected to be a new landmark of city culture of Shanghai.
