In order to summarize the history of Shanghai Garrison in more than 60 years, demonstrate its glorious progress, pay honors to the martyrs, educate the on-service troops and motivate the younger generations, Shanghai Garrison Military History Museum (SGMHM) was built. The SGMHM displays all the cultural relics and historical data (such as diary, medals, certificates, pennants, letters, messages, newspapers, pictures, articles supporting the frontline, trophies, articles for daily use, etc.) related to the Shanghai Garrison and its predecessor (Bohai columns, the 33rd armed forces, the ninth corps, Songhu Garrison headquarters, public security forces in east China, Public security forces of Nanjing military region, Shanghai Garrison in construction period), and in the liberation period of Shanghai (such as Military Control Commission and the 226 bombing events ), and army construction in the new period after liberation since 1946. Gush Multimedia contracted to construct over 20 outstanding exhibition projects, including The Liberation of Shanghai and Fighting against Flood and Conducting Disaster-relief Work.
