Shanghai Gush Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. stood out from the intense competition of the video works bid of new Shanghai Natural Museum (a branch of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum) , and won two of the nine bid packages: modern biological(four) and the humanities categories. There are a total of 33 videos in those two blocks. The reason why Shanghai Gush won them lies in its careful planning, its glorious previous performances in similar projects and top experts of related disciplines gathering in the company’s production team.

New Shanghai Natural Museum adopts a spiral design. The whole building is merged into Chinese traditional mountains and water landscapes so as to create more attractive visit-route and ensure sufficient natural lighting. Most parts of the museum are constructed under the ground because the exhibition space does not need much natural lighting. As a result, most of the functional areas are also placed under the ground. The flow of water, sound, waterfalls splashing water, ripples formed will also be a part for visitors to experience the museum. Five facades of the new museum look different. The top of the museum is covered by green roof and there are water landscapes in the garden. There is a green wall in the east façade with the arrangement of vertical greening, making original horizontal garden greening to become a vertical arch structure. In the west side, it adopts a water concrete wall considering the sun, and places some glass curtain walls on the bottom. As the north side shall be a visit entrance in the future, the outer wall is decorated by stones. It is the most special in the south, for it has a “cell wall”. The glass curtain wall is attached to “cells” of different sizes and shapes, so you may enjoy the landscape like observing clever and tensile living cells in the microscope.

There are two floors on the ground and four underground (including the interlayer). The total construction area is 44,000 square meters. A pedestrian sightseeing trail is set at the edge of the green roof, and people can walk along the trail to the roof which is 20 meters high, having a bird view to the whole sculpture park. In the northeast coroner of the first underground floor of the museum, there will be a passageway to connect Rail Line 13 at Natural Museum station, which is rather convenient for the public to visit the museum.
