July 1, 2014 marked the 93rd anniversary of the Communist Party of China and the 105th anniversary of the birth of former Chinese President Li Xianian. Also on this day, the upgraded Li Xiannian Memorial, which locates at Huangma Memorial Park, re-opened to the public. On the morning of July 1, Li Xiolin, Li Xiannian’s daughter and Chairperson of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, General Liu Yazhou, Li Xiaolin’s husband and Political Commissar of National Defense University and carders from the CPC Hong’an Municipal Committee attended the ceremony.
Central Plain Breakout, the core multimedia scenario show for Li Xiannian Memorial, was totally contracted by Gush Multimedia. The show was composed of a series of photodiode signals, landscapes, background pictures and mechanicals. It is the first time that Gush Multimedia integrated spectra vision, semi-panorama, multi-projector anomalous screen and DTS audio-visual technologies to demonstrate the battlefield in Central Plain Breakout, and this is the first multimedia scenario show in China.
In June 1946, the Kuo Min Tang (KMT) took Xuanhuadian as its target, sending 300,000 soldiers to besiege the libration army-controlled Central Plain from four directions. On June 26, Liu Xiannian commanded the major force of Red Army to breakout from two directions. On June 29, Li Xiannian led the north-direction troop to combat with the enemy in Liulin Railway Station, breaking out the so called Iron Defense Line. His troop passed Pinghan Railway Road and established Yue-Yu-Shaan-Bian Revolution Base.
As Li Xiaolin and Liu Yazhou walked into the exhibition area of Central Plain Breakout, the show kicked off. The lights darkened and the sky in semi-panorama picture was filled with clouds. Amid the grave music, pictures flashed in the sky. The hash clock sound made the audiences nervous and the voiceover introduced the tension before the war. As the lights expanded, the tranquil semi-panorama picture became “alive”, and the huge explosion indicated that the war had becoming increasingly fierce. The strong defense line of enemy incurred huge loss of the liberation army. We conquered a fort, but the enemy re-attacked us with more powers. As the time went by, Li Xiannian asked the development of the way in his commanding office, and the music pushed the war to a climax. We could see in the semi-panorama picture that numerous liberation army soldiers were rushing to the war and the voiceover again introduced the historical significance of the war. After seeing this 6-miniute multimedia exhibition, Li Xiaolin exclaimed, “So good and so excellent!” She praised Jin Li, Vice GM of Gush Multimedia, Wu Qiwei, Director of the show and Liu Peikang, Project Manage of Gush Multimedia, expressing her thanks to Gush Multimedia for its touching artistic show presented. General Liu Yazhou shook hands with Liu Peikang and the team members of Gush Multimedia.
Li Xiannian Memorial locates at Kezi Mountain of Huangma Memorial Park and opens to the public from June 21, 1997. The Memorial was reconstructed in October 2012, and the name of the memorial was written by Chen Yun, a distginguish revolutionist in China. The memorial illustrated the 66-year revolutionary life of Comrade Li Xiannian with objects, pictures and modern technology, showing his glorious history from an ordinary carpenter to a renowned general, and from a son of famer to the chairperson of China.
